Jersey City officials alerted hospital's in the region for potential gunshot victims after a shots-fired incident that occurred at a location in the city Wednesday morning.
According to police, shooters arrived in the area of 74 Linden Avenue shortly before 1:50 a.m. and began firing multiple rounds at unknown targets before fleeing the scene.
Police say officers arrived at the scene and taped off the area after finding several shell casings, but after canvassing the neighborhood, there were no victims found.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
