Police in Newark are on the search for about a half dozen suspects who occupied a vehicle that led them on a pursuit that ended in Newark overnight.
According to preliminary reports, NJ State Police spotted a vehicle at around 1:40 a.m. that registration came back stolen.
When officers attempted to pull the car over, the driver sped away and led officers on a high-speed pursuit. Police terminated the chased on I-280 and First Street in Newark according to police.
Police say the vehicle is a 2018 Audi with reported NJ license plate numbers "P59-JJG."
The suspects remain at-large.
