Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Chris Kimker, and Chief Stephen Beecher of the Mount Olive Police Department announce the arrest of Tajinder Tung, 47-years-old, from Stewartsville.
Officials say the investigation disclosed that between 2017 and May 2019, the defendant, who was employed as a teacher at the Mount Olive High School, had stalked a student and committed acts that constituted a course of alarming conduct, both inside and outside of the school.
The defendant was charged by Complaint-Warrant, with Stalking, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12-10b, a fourth-degree crime, and Harassment, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4c, a petty disorderly persons offense.
The defendant will be committed to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing in Superior Court, to be scheduled.
