Maplewood Police are on the search for two suspects who are wanted for a shooting that injured one person Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of a person shot in the single-digit block of Lombardy Place at approximately 3 a.m.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found an unidentified person suffering gunshot wounds. Authorities have not confirmed if the shooting happened on Lombardy or if the victim came there after being shot somewhere else.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment while Union Police joined Maplewood authorities in a search for the suspects who were last observed running towards Union.
There were no other injuries reported and the motive for the incident remains under investigation.
