State Police officials are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead on a highway in Southampton Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Route 70 near Burr Mill Road.
Official say, emergency responders found the severely injured unconscious and unresponsive victim lying on the ground after the motorcycle that he operated crashed at that location.
The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.
Officials say the crash caused substantial delays on the highway while detective investigated the accident.
There were no other injuries reported.
