Hillside Police and the FBI are on the search for a suspect who robbed a bank in Hillside this afternoon.
According to a statement released by FBI officials, the robbery happened at around 1:32 p.m. at the Investors Savings Bank on Liberty Avenue.
FBI officials said a white male suspect, who wore dark clothing and a beard, entered the bank and took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The suspect reportedly told customers and employees that he had a bomb.
FBI officials say the suspect then changed into a white shirt near a residence then continued fleeing the scene.
There were no physical injuries reported FBI officials said.
This incident does not appear to be related to the Irvington Township robberies at this time .
