Jersey City Police are investigating two pedestrian strikes that occurred at separate locations in the city on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the first incident happened at approximately 2:45 p.m. in the area of Congress Street and Sherman Avenue.
Officials say emergency responders found a male -around the age of 24- suffering injuries after a beige Nissan Pathfinder struck him then sped away from the scene.
The victim's injuries were not immediately reported as life-threatening.
Officials say, in the other incident, police and EMS were called to the vicinity of Woodlawn Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive to investigate reports of an injured person before 3 p.m.
When emergency responders arrived, they found an unidentified person suffering a serious head injury after a car struck them at that location. There was no word if the driver stayed at the scene.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
