The Ewing Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Serious Collision Response Team are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred Monday evening, resulting in one fatality.
According to a statement released by authorities, Ewing police responded to the intersection of Parkway and Latona avenues on July 29 at approximately 7:30 p.m. on a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
Authorities said, the operator of the 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle, identified as Mr. Terry Birchenoug, 54, of Ewing, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the driver of the 2002 Honda Accord, a 57-year-old Robbinsville man, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Detective Rich Tramontana and Officer John Bag of the Ewing Police Department and Prosecutor’s Detective Ryan Minnick.
