Police in Kearny are on the search for the driver of a car that struck a pedestrian in a shopping center's parking lot last night then drove away from the scene.
According to police, the incident happened in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, where they received reports of a pedestrian down at approximately 10:50 p.m.
Officers arrived at the Walmart Parking lot and were informed that the driver that struck the victim did not remain at the scene according to reports.
Police believe that the suspect occupied a 2005 Honda with a reported PA license plate number "KYC-0528".
Authorities have not immediately confirmed the extent of the victim's injuries. The incident is under investigation.
