The North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue held a ceremony on Monday for four Firefighters who were promoted to the position of captain. The ceremony took place at NHRFR headquarters in West New York with fellow Firefighters and dignitaries in attendance.
“I would like to congratulate these Firefighters on their promotion to Captain,” said Weehawken Mayor and NHRFR Chairman Richard Turner. "It is a difficult and dangerous job that these individuals do. I am so grateful for their selfless service to our community."
The four Firefighters that were promoted were Christopher Larkin, Alain Amaro, Joseph MacLachlan and Alexander Gonzalez.
“This is a culmination of all of the hard work and bravery of these men,” said NHRFR Chief Frank Montagne. "The leadership of these four individuals is unparalleled and I am confident that they will make excellent Captains."
