Authorities in Union chased a vehicle that was stolen and the driver refused to stop for police.
According to Elizabeth city Spokesperson Kelly Martins, at around 6:30 a.m., Union Police engaged in a motor vehicle pursuit of a stolen vehicle that originated in their Township but ended with a crash on Morris & Union avenues in Elizabeth.
The crash caused damage to multiple vehicles including one that overturned at that location.
According to Spokeswoman Martins, police were engaged in a foot chase that ultimately had officers requesting a K-9 unit.
There were no reports of officers apprehending the suspects.
Officials say there were no fatal injuries reported.
