EMS units were called to assist a victim of an armed robbery who was reportedly attacked during several incidents where the assailants took personal possessions from multiple victims.
According to preliminary reports, armed men pointed weapons at victims in the area of East Jersey and Front streets then took cash and personal items during their robbery campaign that began shortly before 2:20 a.m.
Police say about five black males drove the area searching for victims to rob and were successful in their mission after several victims became targets. The assault victim suffered non-life threatening injuries according to reports.
The suspects remain at-large.
