Linden Mini-Mart Robbed at Gunpoint

A Linden mini-mart was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon according to police.

The owner of the Quick-Mart was inside the business on the 700 block of Knopf Street about 12:26 p.m. when two men entered store, Captain James Sarnicki said this afternoon.

One of the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded the owner to lie on the floor while the other bandit scooped up an undetermined amount of cash from the register and lottery receipts Sarnicki added.

Both men then walked out of the store and fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported, said the captain.

He said that one of the bandits was described as a man in his 20’s wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect was also a male in his 20’s and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with gray sleeves.

Detectives are on-scene conducting an investigation.
