Newark Police requests the public’s assistance in identifying two male suspects suspects for an incident of aggravated assault that occurred on Sunday, July 7th.
According to a statement released by Newark Police officials, at approximately 5:45 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Sunset Avenue on a call of an injured person.
Police say responding officers located a man who was assaulted and knocked unconscious by two unknown men following an altercation between two women.
According to police the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries and released.
Police say the first suspect is described as tall, with a dark complexion while the remaining man is described as having a light complexion, bald head and wore a white t-shirt and red shoes.
While police are actively searching for the two male suspects, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying them so that they can be removed from Newark streets.
