Police in Newark are on the search for armed suspects who entered a residence in the city's West Ward and opened fire striking two victims Saturday night.
According to officials, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 100 block of Vermont Avenue where officers arrived and found both victims suffering severe injuries with one of the males struck to the neck.
EMS transported the victims to University Hospital, where doctors began treating their injuries.
Police say, two black male suspects -who wore masks- were observed running from the scene immediately after the shooting.
The motive for the incident remains under investigation.
