Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief William Volkert of the Old Bridge Police Department announce that police are investigating a fatal crash in which two passengers were killed and two drivers were injured in a crash in Old Bridge Township early Saturday morning,
Authorities say, two deceased female passengers, one 17-year old, were pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries they sustained in the crash.
The two male drivers were taken to a local hospital and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is being investigated by Police Officer Steven Connolly of the Old Bridge Police Department and Detective Jonathan Berman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation began after police were dispatched to the scene of the crash on Englishtown Road, near the JCP&L building in Old Bridge, at 3:50 am.
The preliminary investigation has determined that the driver of an Acura crashed into the rear of a pickup truck on Englishtown Road near the intersection of West Greystone Road in Old Bridge.
The investigation is active and continuing.
