Jersey City authorities are attempting to identify the location of a shots fired incident that had a man struck by bullets during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, officials at the Jersey City Medical Center contacted police when a male victim entered the hospital suffering apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim told arriving police officers that he suffered his injuries when a gunman began firing at him while occupying his car on Arlington Avenue. according to reports.
Police officials have not confirmed if they found evidence that a shooting occurred on Arlington at this time.
This incident brings the total people shot in Jersey City during the overnight hours to three.
