A woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle struck her near an intersection on Friday evening.
According to preliminary reports, the woman was found lying partially on the sidewalk and in the street on Bloomfield at Belmont avenues just before 5:45 p.m.
The woman was transported to an area hospital in a lot of pain, but she is expected to survive.
The Bloomfield Police Department will handle the investigation.
UPDATE: The situation was a Belleville incident but Bloomfield partners with all neighboring towns to provide assistance.
