New Jersey State Police officials are investigating a crash that killed a man this morning on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge.
According to a statement released by Trooper Alejandro Goez, the crash was reported at around 1:52 a.m in the southbound lanes near mile marker 134.1 in Woodbridge.
Trooper Goez said the driver of a Toyota was traveling in the left lane struck a deer then lost control and went off the road to left. According to Trooper Goez, the car then struck the guardrail, overturned and ejected the driver.
A Pontiac, traveling behind the Toyota in the left lane, struck the deer, the Toyota and the driver that was ejected Trooper Goez said.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Mr. Joseph Diaz, Jr., 26, of Woodbridge, was pronounced dead on the scene.
There no injuries reported for the driver of the Pontiac accordion to Trooper Goez.
