Police in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect responsible for an armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity o 1612 John F. Kennedy Boulevard to investigate reports of an armed robbery that occurred before 3:55 a.m.
Units arrived and were told by the victim that the suspect approached armed with a gun and committed the robbery.
The suspect is described as a 5'9" tall, 300-pound black male who was last seen wearing a mask, and red shorts. Police say the suspect ran towards Winfield Avenue on Kennedy Boulevard after the robbery.
There were no physical injuries reported.
