There is an active search for several suspects who committed robberies of about three victims on a street in Newark during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 543 Central Avenue after received reports of a robbery in progress at approximately 12:40 a.m.
Units arrived and were told that three unidentified suspects jumped out of a silver or light-colored vehicle and robbed them of personal possessions at that location.
After the robbery, the victims said that the suspects entered the vehicle and sped away from the scene. Police transported the physically uninjured victims to the precinct to be interviewed by detectives.
The suspects remain at-large.
