Burlington County authorities are looking into the motive for a stabbing that left a person injured in Lumberton on Tuesday evening.
According to officials, police were called to a location on Nutmeg Drive to investigate reports of an assault with injuries at around 5:45 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found an unidentified person bleeding after suffering a stab injury to the back according to police.
EMS transported the victim to a medivac landing zone where they were then airlifted to the hospital where doctors treated severe injuries. Police say one other person suffered a non-life threatening injury during the incident.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
There were no reports of arrests at this time.
