Police in Newark are looking into a stabbing incident that left one person seriously injured in Newark overnight.
The incident occurred on Friday evening where police responded to reports of an injured person at an address in the 600 block of North 6th Street.
Units arrived to find the victim suffering stab injury and requested EMS to the scene on a rush.
Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital where doctors treated severe injuries according to reports.
Police have not released the motive for the stabbing or the identity of the victim at this time.
