Police in Elizabeth are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured a man in the city of Thursday evening.
According to police, officials at Trinitas Hospital contacted police when a gunshot victim entered the emergency department at approximately 12:55 p.m.
Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Kelly Martins said a 22-year-old male Elizabeth resident told police that he suffered his injuries at 239 Pine Street shortly before arriving at the hospital.
Spokeswoman Martins said the victim was treated for a non-life-threatening gun wound and there are no suspects at the time.
