Elizabeth Police are looking into the motive for a stabbing that left a person injured in Elizabeth on Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 400 block of Union Avenue after they received reports of a person bleeding at approximately 5:15 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene notified EMS when they found the victim suffering a stab wound at that location.
The victim's injuries were no reported as life-threatening and EMS transported the unidentified person to the hospital where doctors began treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
