Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Orange Police Director Todd Warren announced today that the Orange Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigation the murder of an unidentified woman.
Following an autopsy, the victim’s death has been ruled a homicide.
The body was discovered on April 9, 2019 at 120 Main Street in Orange.
The victim has not been identified but appears to be African American.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available officials said.
