BREAKING FAIR LAWN NJ: Pedestrian Killed by Car on Route 208 in Fair Lawn

Officials in Bergen County are reporting a pedestrian strike that killed an unidentified person on Route 208 in Fair Lawn this evening.

Officials say the incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes where a vehicle struck the victim causing fatal injuries.

According to officials, a Bergen County police officer was transported to a local hospital suffering a non-life-threatening injuries related to the incident.

Police closed all lanes on the highway from Maple Avenue, with traffic backing up the several miles.

Police say no other injuries were reported.
