Police in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect who robbed then brutally beat a man in the city Monday night.
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 10 p.m. near the intersection of Clinton and Bergen avenues where a suspect armed with a gun approached the victim and demanded cash.
The victim reportedly handed the suspect over $1000 before the suspect began to attack using the gun according to reports.
Police called EMS to the scene to treat the victim for non-life threatening injuries.
Jersey City Police are actively investgiating the incident.
