Jersey City Police has launched an investigation into an incident where a child fell from a window in the city on Saturday afternoon.
According to a statement released by Jersey City Spokesperson Kimberly Wallace Scalcione, the incident happened at approximately 4:26 p.m., where Jersey City Police officers responded to a call at 104 York Street for reports of a child falling from a 4th-floor window.
Spokesperson Wallace-Scalcione sais units arrived at the scene observed a 6-year-old boy laying on the ground breathing and conscious.
According to spokesperson Wallace-Scalcione, EMS transported the child to Jersey City Medical Center in stable condition.
The boy was later transferred to Hackensack University Medical Center for further tests. Spokesperson Wallace-Scalcione said.
The extent of his injuries are unclear at this time.
