Authorities Search for Piscataway Township Bank Robbery Suspect

The Piscataway Township Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect who is being sought in connection with the robbery of the Investor Savings Bank last Friday.

According to a statement released by police, the incident happened on Friday, March 8, at approximately 5:31 PM, where the suspect entered the Investor Savings Bank located at 565 Stelton Road and handed a teller a note announcing a robbery and demanding money.

Police say after the tellers gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, he walked out of the bank.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene operating a black, Volkswagen Jetta MK5, possibly a 2007 year vehicle.

The male suspect is described as white, average height, slightly heavyset with a full light brown beard. He was wearing long khaki pants, black jacket, black gloves, light-colored shoes, sunglasses and a black baseball cap bearing a gray front emblem according to police.

Police say the suspects showed no weapon.
