The New Jersey State Police have arrested James Fogel, 33, of Corona, N.Y., Benjamin Martinez, 21, of Yonkers, N.Y., and Shanel Torres, 28, of Flushing, N.Y. after a motor vehicle stop leads to the seizure of drugs and handguns.
According to authorities, on Monday at 9:43 p.m., Troopers from Totowa Station stopped James Fogle for a motor vehicle violation on Interstate 80 in Saddle Brook.
Upon further investigation, Troopers discovered two handguns, a high capacity 30 round magazine, hollow point ammunition and marijuana in the vehicle.
Police charged James Fogle, Benjamin Martinez, and Shanel Torres with possession of a handgun, possession of high capacity magazine, posession of hollow point bullets, receiving stolen property, and money laundering. The suspects were lodged at Bergen County Jail pending by a detention hearing.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused is innocent until proven guilty.
