New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey announced that a Missouri State Lottery ticketholder won the Mega Millions jackpot from the Tuesday, March 12th drawing winning the $50 million jackpot, and one New Jersey player won $10,000 for matching four of the five white balls drawn and the Gold Mega Ball.
That ticket was purchased at Morganville Liquor & Deli, 172 Tennent Rd., Morganville in Monmouth County. If the ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option, the prize would be multiplied to $40,000.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, March 12th drawing were: 10, 12, 16, 49 and 57. The Gold Mega Ball was 18, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
In addition, 13 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. If those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, it would have multiplied the prize to $2,000. Moreover, 21,286 other New Jersey players took home $100,264 in prizes ranging from $2 to $800, according to Carey.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Carey. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
