Residents in ELizabeth watched and witnessed from their home windows an early morning incident where a man drove his vehicle onto a sidewalk near a bar and struck several people early Saturday morning.
The aftermath of the horrifying scene was captured on video by several residents who told reporters that they want justice for the woman and man who they said demonstrated excruciating pain as the victims laid on the ground after an out of control driver struck them, then sped away from the scene.

A request for public information regarding the matter was returned with Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Kelly Martins said that the incident occurred at approximately 3:39 am, where 'some type' of ruckus happened outside of a bar at New Point Road and Seventh Street.
A video recording of the incident sent to RLS Media showed the driver of the car attempting to speed away striking a building then a utility box as good Samaritans broke the windows of the vehicle in an attempt to get the driver to stop.
According to Elizabeth City Spokeswoman Kelly Martins, **Mr. Robenson Louis, 32**, from Orange, allegedly drove his Range Rover vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians several times before fleeing the scene.
Spokeswoman Martins said Louis was apprehended near 50 Seventh Street by Elizabeth Police officers who arrived at the scene to investigate the matter.
"So far there are two victims, one was is a 24-year-old Union male who was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center where her condition is unknown" according to authorities.
Spokeswoman Martins said a 29-year-old female Orange resident, was also taken to University Hospital where she sustained limb-threatening injuries.

Police issued Mr. Louis six summonses then charged him with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes (the vehicle) in the 3rd degree, unlawful possession of weapon in the 4th degree (the vehicle), aggravated assault in the 2nd degree, assault by auto in the 2nd degree and leaving the scene of an accident in the 3rd Degree According to Spokeswoman Martins.
