Firefighters in Harrison extinguished a small blaze that broke out in the kitchen inside the building on Saturday evening.
According to preliminary reports, crews were dispatched to 715 Harrison Avenue -The Hinchy's Steel Bar and Grill- after they received reports of a fire that broke out at around 9:55 p.m. at that location.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found smoke coming from the kitchen area of one of the units where they isolated the blaze to the oven according to reports.
The blaze did not extend to attached apartments on the top floor of the building according to officials.
Officials say one person required medical attention for a non-life threatening injury according to immediate reports. Officials say the fire was declared under control in under a half hour.
