The cause of a fire in Paterson Wednesday morning is under investigation.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters responded to Hopper Street for a report of a building fire shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Officials say the fire quickly spread to a second structure, declaring both buildings a total loss.
Authorities say the wood window frames of Christ Temple Baptist Church caught on fire, ultimately causing the stained glass windows to blow out.
Fortunately, the fire was placed under control by approximately 11:25 a.m., resulting in no other damage.
There are no immediate reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
