One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $71,417 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Friday, Feb. 22nd drawing.
The winning numbers were: 03, 13, 17, 20 and 32 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Shop Rite of Manchester, 1001 Route 70 W., Manchester in Ocean County.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Shop Rite of Manchester. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
Carey announced that there were 244,790 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 42 ticketholders won $525 each and 4 others won $1,050 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,616 ticketholders won $13 each and 337 others won $26 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly 3,625 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
