A person struck and critically injured by a vehicle overnight in Trenton has police investigating.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders were dispatched to the vicinity of Chambers Street and Walnut Street just before 9:10 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a car.
Police and EMS arriving at the scene found the severely injured unidentified patient lying on the ground at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where doctors began to treat the patient according to police.
Officers closed off the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
