Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey announced that a Rutgers’ student was indicted today in connection with a plot to commit murder and cyber harassment.
According to authorities, AcIzaia Bullock, 22, of Piscataway, was indicted with two counts of attempted murder in the first degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree. In a separate indictment, Bullock was indicted for one count of cyber harassment in the fourth degree.
The two indictments were handed up following a presentation to a Middlesex County Grand Jury by Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Megan Kosovich.
An investigation by the Rutgers University Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that on October 29, 2018, Bullock initiated a plot to murder the family members of an acquaintance. It was also discovered that on October 25, 2018, Bullock, by means of an online capacity, harassed the acquaintance.
The investigation is active and continuing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Michael Connelly of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3254.
As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Bullock are merely accusations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
