Elizabeth Firefighters responded to a 2-alarm fire that ignited inside a Marshall Street home last night.
According to fire officials, crews arrived to the 2.5 story wood-framed home shortly after 10:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire in the basement which ultimately spread up the walls into the attic.
Officials say firefighters opened the roof for ventilation and completed a primary search of the home. There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
