A 71-year-old woman Rea used from a fire last week died from her injuries.
According to authorities, firefighters responded to Edison Mobile Estates Wednesday for a report of a fire sometime around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found Loretta E. Panté after she collapsed from smoke inhalation.
Officials say Panté was transported to JFK Medical Center in Edison, where she succumbed to her injuries Friday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
