Police in Paterson are on the scene of a shooting with confirmed property damage at a location in the city this evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 78 North 6th Street at around 6 p.m. to investigate shots fired that rang out in the area.
Units arrived at the scene taped off the area after finding bullets entered the window of Angel's Wine and Liquors.
A ShotSpotter activation indicated about 17 rounds in the area according to police. Officers canvassing the neighborhood found shell casings on a porch in the 100 block of Clinton Street as well.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
