Police from several municipalities assisted in breaking up several physical altercations that broke out at a hotel in Whippany on Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Hanover Marriott Hotel that's located in the 1400 block of NJ-10 at approximately 2 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and requested mutual aid as they observed several individuals acting unruly and engaged in confrontation according to reports.
Officers were able to swiftly gain control of the situation but not before more than a half dozen people were taken into custody according to reports.
There were no serious injuries reported.
