Police officials in Newark seek the public’s assistance in identifying a female suspect who they say is wanted in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Friday, February 8th.
In a statement released by Newark Police, the incident happened at approximately 11 a.m., where a man exited his vehicle in the area of Pierce Street and Springfield Avenue to secure the vehicle’s trunk.
Police say while out of the car, the victim was surrounded by two males before two females approached his driver’s side door and removed his cell phone, a dark blue Samsung Galaxy Smartphone then ran from the scene.
Detectives investigating the incident captured the images of one of the female suspects and now want to question her about the incident.
While police are actively searching for her, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating the woman.
