Police say tips led to the arrest of a man wanted for burglary and shoplifting in Pilesgrove Township.
According to police, on January 30th, police requested the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for stealing a bluetooth speaker and cash from a vehicle and shoplifting from an ACME in Pilesgrove Township.
Officials say tips sent to the New State Police Woodstown Station, assisted detectives in identifying Timothy Lukes, 30, of Clayton, as the suspect.
Investigators shortly after discovered that Lukes was lodged at the Salem County Jail for unrelated charges.
According to authorities, on Feb. 1st police charged Timothy Lukes with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and shoplifting and is currently awaiting a detention hearing.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
