Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced today that just after 12 p.m. today, Plumsted Township Police Department requested the assistance of the Ocean County Regional SWAT team after a male subject discharged a weapon near his home.
Officials say The Ocean County Regional SWAT team located the subject, Mr. Nicholas Markee, Plumsted, in a wooded area adjacent to the home.
Markee was taken into custody without incident.
There is no danger to the public at this time officials said.
Criminal charges are pending against Markee.
