Police in Harrison captured and detained several suspects who were wanted for robberies that occurred in Newark on Saturday.
According to reports, Town of Harrison officers on active patrol near Bridge Street were notified of robbery suspects that were possibly making their way into the town after committing robberies on the Newark side of the border.
Officers stepped up enforcement then captured about three unidentified suspects who were turned over to Newark Police at McCarter Highway and Bridge Steet at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The investigation is in its early stages and nothing has been released on who the suspects robbed at this time.
