Several people were transported to University Hospital suffering non-fatal injuries after a police pursuit ended in a crash on a street in Elizabeth this afternoon.
Police chased the driver of a vehicle that refused stop when officer's activated their lights and sirens at approximately 1:50 p.m.
The driver led police on a high-speed pursuit that ended when the car crashed on Ana and Madison Avenue.
Officials say about three people were injured including the suspect.
It is not clear why police were in pursuit of the vehicle at this time.
This incident remains under investigation.,
