NJ State Police are on the scene of a two-car collision with heavy delays and severe injuries reported on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton at this time.
Details regarding what caused the collision is pending a police information request but according to preliminary -on the scene- reports, police were called to the northbound lanes of the highway near the Lakeview overpass -157.7- after they received reports of a crash that involved multiple vehicles at approximately 10:40 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found badly damaged vehicles with injured occupants at that location.
Several there are reports of at least one victim with 'life-threatening' injuries and two other transported to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
**UPDATE 1:53 PM:** Spokesperson Alexandro Gomez has confirmed this as a fatal crash with one female victim.
