A Thursday night police pursuit that began in Newark ended on a street in Union with officers apprehending one suspects.
According to a preliminary investigation, police attempted to pull over the driver of a vehicle that matched the description of a car occupied by suspects wanted for several armed robberies in Newark and surrounding municipalities.
Police learned that the vehicle was reported stolen as the suspect sped into Union where several males bailed from the car in the 1000 block of Coolidge Avenue at approximately 11 p.m.
Officers were able to catch then apprehend one suspect, but two others fled the scene according to reports. Union police assisted Newark in a perimeter to find the suspects.
There were no injuries reported.
