Police in Newark's South Ward reunited a child with his parent after the boy was found wandering on a street Thursday evening.
According to preliminary reports, the boy -around 7-years-old- was found in the vicinity of 1051 Bergen Street shortly before 5:30 p.m.
The uninjured child was not wearing a coat or shoes when he was found according to reports.
Police reportedly found the child's mother who arrived at the scene and identified the boy about a half hour later.
The incident remains under investigation.
